GENERAL POLICIES
Class Attendance & Punctuality: Dancers should arrive on time and be ready to start class promptly. Late arrivals may be asked to observe to avoid disruption.
Dress Code: All dancers must adhere to the designated dress code for their class, including proper dancewear, shoes, and hair neatly secured. Failure to comply may result in restricted participation.
Studio Etiquette: Respectful behavior is expected at all times. Dancers must listen to instructors, respect fellow students, and maintain a positive learning environment. Disruptive behavior may result in disciplinary action.
Personal Belongings: Studio Twenty-Five is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Dancers should keep personal belongings in designated areas and refrain from bringing valuables to class.
Food & Drink: No food, gum, or open beverages are allowed in the dance studios. Only water in a sealed container is permitted.
REGISTRATION & TUITION
Enrollment: All dancers must complete a registration form and submit any necessary waivers before participating in classes.
Tuition Payments: Tuition is due on the designated date each month/session. Tuition Inclusions: Tuition includes training in technical choreography and a $80 contribution toward recital costumes and the recital program book fee. Costume Fee Exclusions: Stretch & Conditioning classes, private lessons, and adult classes do not include a costume fee. Late payments are subject to a $25 late fee per month. No refunds or credits will be issued for missed classes.
Tuition Structure: Tuition is based on an annual rate per class. While tuition is not calculated as a monthly fee, families have the option to pay in full or choose an installment plan (6–10 monthly payments) for your convenience. For installments payment, must be enrolled in Auto Pay.
Returned Payment Fee: Any returned or declined payment will incur an additional $35 fee, which will be applied to the student’s tuition balance. All outstanding balances must be settled before continuing participation in classes.
Unpaid Balances: If a student's account has an unpaid balance, they will not be permitted to attend class, participate in performances, or receive costumes until the balance is paid in full.
WITHDRAWAL POLICY
Official Withdrawal: If a student wishes to withdraw from Studio Twenty-Five, a written withdrawal letter must be submitted by October 31 of the calendar year.
Tuition Responsibility: Parents/guardians remain financially responsible for tuition and any outstanding fees until a written withdrawal request is received and processed. If withdrawal occurs after October 31, tuition will continue to be charged for the remainder of the season.
ATTENDANCE & CANCELLATIONS
Class Cancellations & Make-Ups: Studio Twenty-Five reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes as needed. Make-up classes may be offered at the studio’s discretion but are not guaranteed.
Absences: Dancers are encouraged to attend all scheduled classes. If a student must miss class, prior notice is appreciated. Excessive absences may impact participation in performances or progression to advanced levels.
Inclement Weather & Emergency Closures: In the event of severe weather or an emergency, class cancellations will be communicated via email, social media, or the studio website. No refunds will be issued for weather-related closures.
STUDENT & PARENT EXPECTATIONS
Parental Conduct: Parents and guardians are expected to support their dancers and maintain respectful interactions with staff, instructors, and other families. Negative or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
Studio Twenty-Five Dance Company is not responsible for any student who leaves the premises without permission or prior notification. Parents and guardians are encouraged to discuss safety procedures with their child and ensure they understand the importance of remaining on-site until properly dismissed.
Observation Policy: Parents may observe classes during designated observation days. Regular classes are closed to visitors to ensure a focused learning environment.
Communication: All official studio communication will be handled via email, studio newsletters, or designated social media accounts. Instructors are not permitted to engage in direct social media messaging regarding class matters. Any inquiries regarding schedules, tuition, or studio policies should be directed to the front desk or via email. Exceptions to this policy will be at the sole discretion of the Studio Director and Owner.
PERFORMANCES & COMPETITIONS
Recital Participation: Dancers participating in the annual recital must attend all required rehearsals and meet costume and performance fee deadlines.
Competition Team Requirements: Members of the Studio Twenty-Five competition team must commit to scheduled rehearsals, attend all required events, and adhere to team guidelines.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Injury Prevention: Dancers should inform instructors of any injuries before class. Proper warm-ups and technique are essential to prevent injury.
Illness Policy:
Students may return to class once they have been symptom-free for at least 24 hours without the aid of medication. To prevent the spread of infections, students should stay home if they exhibit any of the following symptoms:

Fever of 100°F (37.8°C) or higher
Vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours
Persistent cough or difficulty breathing
Unexplained rashes
Contagious conditions such as strep throat, flu, or conjunctivitis
Medical Emergencies: In the event of an injury, staff will provide basic first aid. If necessary, emergency medical personnel will be contacted, and the parent/guardian will be notified immediately. An incident report will be completed and kept on file.
Liability Disclaimer: Studio Twenty-Five and its staff are not responsible for any injuries that may occur during classes, rehearsals, or performances. Parents/guardians acknowledge the risks involved with dance training and agree to hold Studio Twenty-Five harmless in the event of injury.
Hygiene & Cleanliness: Dancers should maintain proper hygiene, including wearing clean dancewear and using deodorant. Studio spaces must be kept clean and free of clutter.
PHOTO & VIDEO RELEASE
By enrolling in Studio Twenty-Five, dancers and their families grant the studio full rights to video record and photograph students and staff for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, marketing materials, and the studio website.
TECHNOLOGY AND DEVICE POLICY
To maintain a focused learning environment:
Mobile phones and electronic devices must be silenced and stored away during class times.
Use of devices is only permitted outside of instructional areas or during designated breaks.
Unauthorized recording or photographing within the studio is strictly prohibited to protect privacy.
ANTI-BULLYING POLICY
Studio Twenty-Five is committed to providing a nurturing environment free from bullying. Bullying of any form—verbal, physical, emotional, or cyber—is strictly prohibited.
Reporting Procedures:
Students or parents who experience or witness bullying are encouraged to report it promptly to an instructor or the studio director.
Reports can be made in person, in writing, or anonymously.
All reports will be handled confidentially to protect those involved.
Response to Bullying:
The studio will investigate all reports promptly and take appropriate action, which may include mediation, parental involvement, or disciplinary measures up to dismissal from the studio.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Studio Twenty-Five is committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and respectful dance environment. Any form of bullying, harassment, or discrimination will not be tolerated and may result in dismissal from the program.
Right to Refuse Service: Studio Twenty-Five reserves the right to refuse business and to dismiss students or families at the discretion of the Director and Owner.
